It remains unproven whether PCs affect eyesight or health but, provided you have consulted your GP if, for example, there is a family history of epilepsy and provided the PC is used for a limited time, you shouldn't worry too much about PCs affecting your child's health in any way.

We will add some articles to cover the effect of EMG emissions from monitors on health and eyesight. Click here to be informed when these articles are published and about the availability of specialist equipment to help guard against the ill effects of PCs on our health.

Check out the official government health and safety information on using computer screens and see our article on improving the air quality around PCs using plants, includes the latest NASA research.
